Close-up animal portraits

By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/close-up-animal-portraits.htmlPhotographer Brad Wilson gets close to his models. Very close. Unsurprisingly, his new project is called Proximity. This is a series of photos of wild animals taken at the closest possible distance. Wilson photographs animals on a black background. The result is excellent pictures of a wide variety of animals, in the "faces" of which you can see expressive features that make us look again and again.
Although many of his "models" are wild animals, he doesn't photograph them in their natural habitat. On the photo: cougar.
The animals are transported to his photo studio. On the photo: zebra.
These animals are used to humans, and Wilson knows they won't attack him. That's why he can photograph them from as close a distance as possible. Pictured: Cheetah.
Of course, some measures still need to be taken. Pictured: a chimpanzee.
In addition, the animals are accompanied by caretakers, and during the photo shoot they are given their favorite treats as a sign of encouragement. On the photo: elephant.
