City on wheels
Categories: North America | Photo project
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/city-on-wheels.htmlSam's lens captured the motley inhabitants of New York - tattooed bearded men, young mothers, old people; there was a place for everyone. The unifying element in the project, in addition to, of course, bicycles, was the faces of people: relaxed, carefree, and at the same time happy and radiant. In addition, the eye clings to the appearance of the heroes of the photo project. Fashionistas are all the same: a dapper yuppie in a fitted suit, and a pin-up girl in a striped swimsuit, and a dark-skinned guy with lush hair.
Sam Polker wanted to talk about bicycles and their owners, but it also turned out to be about the city: so colorful, chaotic and different, but at the same time harmonious. Sucking like a turbine people of all ages, beliefs, nationalities and turning them into a New Yorker - a person of one community, a person with a radiant look, and, quite possibly, also with a bicycle.
