Carpets in the casino

This design is a real insult to aesthetic feelings, but they are there for a certain practical purpose - so that tourists "do not sleep" and spend money in the casino.
A visit to Las Vegas is, without a doubt, a kind of sensory overload that keeps you in a state of constant activity, in a good mood and gives rise to a desire to feed slot machines with coins every now and then. Moreover, even carpets, apparently, are designed to push you to the game.
These photos were taken by Chris Maluszynski, a fan of the capital of excitement. He comes to Vegas several times a year from his native New York on a business trip. One day he was amazed by the bright colors of carpets in casinos and hotels and since then he has started photographing them.
Ugly, weird, crazy, wild and funny, audacious and excessively loud — these are just some of the epithets that visitors generously award these "works of art" covering literally every centimeter of the floor in the Las Vegas casino. This city does not sleep — you do not sleep either!
Each casino has its own unique style, but the goal is the same: players should be surrounded by stimuli, you can not give rest to the brain, otherwise the idea may come to mind to take a break from playing at the casino.
In the vast majority of casinos, everything is subject to one law — the client must spend money! There are no windows, clocks, quiet corners, noise sounds everywhere and music plays — do not be distracted, do not yawn, do not sleep! And when the tired gaze falls down, even the carpet sends out regular impulses, pushing for new insane waste.
The purpose of the casino is to provoke you to spend as much money as possible, whether it is spending in shops, clubs or restaurants. Usually, guests spend only a few days in the city, and that is why it is so important for the casino not to relax and to put your fingers in your wallets in a timely manner.
Dr. David Schwartz of the Center of Gaming Research in Nevada adds that "carpets in casinos are known as a deliberate expression of bad taste, somehow motivating people to play." So the next time you cross the threshold of a casino, beware of carpets!
