By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/asperatus-the-scariest-clouds.htmlThe power of nature is limitless, and it does not always show it, bringing destruction and death of people, sometimes it is enough just to raise your head. Undulatus asperatus, also known as asperatus, is a rare type of cloud of an intimidating kind, proposed as a separate species in the classification of clouds in 2009.
Scientists noticed that asperatus clouds began to appear frequently at the beginning of the 21st century. Despite their intimidating appearance, the appearance of such clouds is not accompanied by a thunderstorm and a hurricane, unlike their closest relatives, the undulatus clouds.
Literally Undulatus asperatus translates as rough or undulating waves.
Ominous clouds are especially common in the United States, most often they can be found in the morning and noon hours.
Since 2009, the British Royal Meteorological Society has been studying asperatus clouds to find out how they form and how exactly they differ from undulatus clouds.
