And 17-year-old Stanley, apparently, has been living for the tenth — thanks to his mistress. Betsy Boyd (Betsy Boyd) spent 19 thousand dollars to save the life of her pet and does not regret it at all.
Source: New York Post Betsy Boyd, a mother of two from Baltimore, spent $19,000 to get her 17-year-old cat a kidney transplant operation.
And this despite the fact that she works as an ordinary teacher and has very modest incomes. Friends tried to convince the woman not to spend money, but Betsy remained adamant and gave part of the savings set aside for the children's college education for the operation. Also, in order to pay for an organ transplant, Betsy was forced to refuse to buy a new car.
In addition, Betsy agreed to take home a donor cat - two—year-old Jay, who had previously lived in a shelter.
The operation took place in November 2017, and now Stanley has returned home to his old life.
