An artist from New York knows how to play a nocturne on a drainpipe flute
Categories: North America
PictolicStreet artist Tom Bob transforms the most prosaic elements of American cities. Poles, electric meters and bicycle racks, thanks to his imagination, become part of witty and colorful drawings: a frying pan on fire turns out of a manhole cover, and outlandish lobsters turn out of gas meters. The artist lives in New York, and most of his works are made there, but sometimes he goes to Boston, New Bedford and other cities.

In early June, Tom Bob performed a more "classical" work for the Governor Ball Music Festival in Randalls Island Park. He also sometimes changes road signs, like the French artist Clete Abraham.
