All good people love cats and, if necessary, come to their aid. These animals appreciate care and affection and do not remain in debt. But this is relevant only for those cases when we are actually talking about cats, and not about their wild relatives. A resident of Richmond, USA, rescued the unfortunate animal and sheltered it at home, but this noble act cost her a lot of nerves.

An American woman found a large cat stuck in a fence near her house and, having rescued him from captivity, brought him home. She was sure that such a well-fed and fluffy animal could not be homeless and started looking for its owner through the Craigslist classifieds site.

In order for the owner to recognize his lost pet faster, the girl described his appearance in great detail.

An unusually large size, a strange color and a short tail, a kind American woman took for a sign of the breed. It seemed to her that the animal looked like a mixture of tebby and Bengal, perhaps with some Maine Coon ancestors. She did not forget to mention the unusually bad character of the rescued, who turned out to be aggressive and "loud".

The girl said that if the owner is not found in the near future, she will be forced to give the animal to a shelter. She was tired of the inappropriate behavior of the cat, who went to the toilet wherever he wanted, screamed for hours and almost bit off her fingers when she tried to stroke him.

Users of the Craigslist service explained to the kind girl that she did not save a cat at all, but a wild lynx. She was advised to release the wild animal back into nature as soon as possible and not to risk being near a violent "savage".

The cat lover was scared when she found out who she had sheltered at home and thanked her for the consultation. She updated the post, adding that she lives in the USA not so long ago and did not know what lynxes look like. The girl thought that these animals are much larger and not so similar to domestic cats.

We can say that the story ended well, except that after getting rid of the lynx, the girl had to do a thorough cleaning at home.

The lynx is a very common predator in North America. These animals live in forests, sometimes very close to humans and hunt for small mammals. Individual large specimens, when hungry, can attack even fairly large prey, such as roe deer.
