An alcoholic's dream: a sobering mask was invented in Canada, but it is not available to everyone

If you are a fan of a good sit with friends in a bar, then you probably sometimes ask yourself the question: "Why did I drink so much?" But the process of intoxication is irreversible and it remains only to wait for the alcohol to leave the body. More precisely, it was necessary to wait, because now innovations have come to alcoholism! A scientist from Canada presented a device that helps to sober up in record time, and without characteristic consequences.

An alcoholic's dream: a sobering mask was invented in Canada, but it is not available to everyone

The equipment for sobering up is a small suitcase, to which a mask, like an oxygen mask, is connected with a flexible hose. But in a bright blue bag with a pressure gauge, it is not oxygen or even a life-giving mixture of rare compounds with unpronounceable names. There is ordinary carbon dioxide, which, when fed into the mask, on the contrary, makes a person breathe often and hard.

An alcoholic's dream: a sobering mask was invented in Canada, but it is not available to everyone

The inventor of a cunning anti-alcohol mask, Dr. Joseph Fisher (Joseph Fisher) from the University of Toronto, told reporters about his brainchild the following:

The principle of hyperventilation is the basis of the operation of this device. A drunk person could quickly remove alcohol from his blood himself if he could breathe often and deeply for a long time. Unfortunately, our body is not designed for the assimilation of shock doses of oxygen and a puffing drinker with bulging eyes is threatened not with sobering up,but with a banal fainting.

But the mask of Dr. Joseph Fischer deftly mixes carbon dioxide into the inhaled air, preventing the critical oxygen content in the blood. Thanks to the innovation, you can sober up 2-3 times faster, although the author of the development claims that everything depends on the human body.

Interestingly, the device was not created at all to extract alcoholics from the drunken stupor. Its direct purpose is to help people who have been poisoned by carbon monoxide or patients who are coming out from under the influence of anesthetics. Why the mask was decided to be tested on drunks, Dr. Fischer does not say.Well, geniuses should have their own secrets.

But the scientist willingly tells the press about the results of the mask test. Recently, another test of the invention on volunteers ended and everything went perfectly. Five guys and girls who are not inclined to drunkenness were poured half a glass of strong alcohol, and then, when the alcohol began its harmful but pleasant effect on the body, they were forced to breathe into a mask. Joseph Fischer's calculations were correct and all five people sobered up 3 times faster.

In this case, you can express your admiration with the words of Georges Miloslavsky from the comedy "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession" – " Oh, what a fascinating experience… There is no price for your invention, citizen intellectual! " And this will be absolutely true – the car is incredibly good, and its price is really amazing. A blue bag with a mask costs only 15 thousand dollars (1.1 million rubles), so it's easier and cheaper to just sleep well after a libation.
