Those unnerving, almost alien reptilian eyes seem to pierce your soul. These eyes hold a story - you can see how different species have evolved over millions of years. Professional animal photographer Daniel Hoiklin travels the world taking photographs of various tropical frogs and lizards staring directly into his lens.

1. Daniel was amazed at the variety of species he encountered. This is his favorite picture. “The texture and color palette in such a small space is amazing,” he said of this shot of a wild chameleon eye in Madagascar.
