Amazing Maple Glen in New Zealand
Categories: Nature
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/amazing-maple-glen-in-new-zealand.htmlThe delightful Maple Glen is located in southern New Zealand and is privately owned. This is a family garden owned by Bob and Muriel Davison, who bought this piece of land in 1966 when there was only a small house with a small garden. Despite the great interest in gardening, in those days the Davison family could not afford anything more than banal shovels and rakes.
The development of the park began in the early 1970s, when the family left animal husbandry and had children. Later, the garden was named Maple Glen (from the English maple - maple), when more than 30 varieties of Japanese maples were planted here. Over the years, the area of the garden has expanded, and today all plantings cover 25 acres. Now on its territory you can see very interesting and exotic species of plants and animals.
