By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/amazing-lavender-fields-all-over-the-world.htmlThere are not so many things in the world that surpass in their beauty and picturesqueness the fields of flowering lavender. Lavender blooms only once a year — usually from late June to early August. Lavender fields are beautiful during flowering and delightful during harvest, creating a magnificent contrast of colors between purple and green rows.
Lavender is a genus of 39 species of flowering plants in the family of clear flowers. It is an indigenous plant of the Old World, it grows from Cape Verde and the Canary Islands, in southern Europe to northern and eastern Africa, the Mediterranean Sea, southwest Africa to the southeastern India. Many species of this genus are grown for decorative ornaments, as well as for the extraction of essential oils. With its excellent aroma and beautiful purple color, lavender fields attract photographers from all over the world. The vast purple "seas" are an excellent object for photographing. Don't you believe it? Judge for yourself.
