Amazing Baatara Waterfall

We can say that this is a truly fantastic creation of nature. The water here falls from a height of 255 meters into a huge Jurassic limestone cave.

1. Its age is 160 million years.
2. It is located on the Mountain Trail in Lebanon, and the abyss into which it falls is known as the Three Bridge Chasm. It owes its name to the fact that when falling into the valley, the stream passes through three natural bridges, each of which hangs over the other.
3. The waterfall reaches its power when the snow begins to melt and the water cascades into the abyss. In the 80s, scientists colored the water and it turned out that, ultimately, it comes out near the village of Mgharet al-Ghauagir
4. The waterfall is one of the most remarkable geological formations on the planet. The issue of equipping it with protective devices and pulling a rope or other similar lifting devices to serve athletes was considered. Fortunately, this idea was rejected, as the authorities felt that the installation of such equipment would violate the incomparable beauty of this place.
