The British medical service Clinic Compare has compiled a rating of the unhealthiest countries in the world. The portal analyzed 179 countries. The data for the study were taken from three sources — the World Health Organization, the CIA World Factbook and the World Lung Association.

The overall rating was based on three factors: the amount of alcohol and tobacco consumption per person per year and the prevalence of obesity.

Ukraine is in 20th place.

The country shared the eighth place in the list for the consumption of pure alcohol — each resident consumes 12.8 liters per year.

The 19th place among the unhealthiest countries in the world was taken by the United Kingdom.

18th place — Romania.

On average, each resident smokes 1,619 cigarettes a year.

17th place — Greece.

More than 25 percent of the country's population is obese.

16th place — Australia.

On average, every Australian consumes 11.2 liters of pure alcohol per year.

On average, every resident smokes 1,369 cigarettes a year, drinks 12.3 liters of pure alcohol.
