1. Mattia Trotta was born in Savona in 1980. By education he is a mechanical engineer, so is very familiar with all characteristics of metals. Seriously, the art captured it in 2002. 3. The material with which a sculptor works, the process of creating the sculpture is changing and modificeres, but the master in this case uses no welding, no soldering, working entirely by hand. For this reason, the sculpture creates a slow, but working with metal is often preceded by a long process of design on paper, starting with drawing a sketch.

4. Working with sculpture starts with a steel frame, which will then retract the chain. These iron strands, turn after turn, superimposed on the frame, gradually filling the void and showing the silhouette of the sculpture.

5. As an experienced tailor, who with his needle creates dresses, perfectly sitting on the figure, Mattia Trotta with iron threads creates a shell that is able to convey feelings and emotions. He says: "Each line has its place, the sculpture is solid but will flow through it, the wind, the air fills part of the volume, associating it with the environment". We can say that this concept is similar to the works of Gonzalez (whose work was so fond of Picasso) – sculpture seems to be cut from air.

6. When working on a sculpture of an iron is subjected to complex processing using acid solutions, accelerating natural corrosion processes. So the artist is seeking the shades.

7. In their work, especially when Mattia Trotta wants to transmit the movement of the body, the sculptor has always sought the strength of the whole structure.

8. Harmony, plastic the laws that govern the system volume, and generating each other, means that the voids are as important as filled space, and allow to better feel the hardness and density.
