Colleen Moore is one of the most popular and highly paid Hollywood actresses of the beginning of the last century. She, they say, had two passions — cinema and dolls. Many of the fifty films in which Colleen shone are lost. But the incredible dollhouse that she had been building for seven years has survived. Now its approximate estimated value ranges between 500 thousand and a million dollars.

To collect this work of art (three meters in length, two in height), the actress was helped by professional designers. Each room is designed to the smallest detail and has a distinct style. The richness of the details is amazing. For example, in the main hall there is a mini-version of the Round Table of King Arthur. And the table service placed on it is a copy of the one used in Windsor Castle.

When finishing, very expensive materials were used. The doors are made of ivory, the floors are made of precious wood, natural rose quartz and jade. The windows in the bedroom are decorated with real stained glass, and the icon that hangs in the "Russian room" is studded with diamonds.

Among the fifteen hundred miniature objects there are real artifacts: a tiny Bible, a pistol that shoots silver bullets, a platinum ring with diamonds, gold candelabra… The alabaster tub has running water, and there is a separate switch for each room.

During the Great Depression, this dollhouse traveled around the cities of the United States. That's how Colleen raised money for charity. In 1949, the actress donated her creation to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. You can still see it there.
