A simple recipe for homemade strawberry lemonade

So the strawberry season has come. And this means that it's time to prepare a cool strawberry lemonade — a bright and fragrant drink. It perfectly quenches thirst, restores strength and even fills the body with vitamin C, which is so much in this colorful berry.

And if you have already closed several jars of thick jam for the winter or frozen strawberry puree, prepare a refreshing lemonade for your loved ones. Below you will find a simple recipe for a summer drink.

Strawberries are washed in running water several times to wash off the remnants of the earth. We remove the stems, leave a few berries for decoration. Put the rest in a small bowl and chop with a potato masher. Or we transfer it to the bowl of a blender and interrupt it in mashed potatoes.

Lemons are also washed and squeezed out of them juice. Mix it with crushed strawberries.

Mint leaves are rinsed and spread on paper towels for a couple of minutes to absorb excess moisture. Some of them are left for decoration, and others are finely chopped with a knife and sent to the lemon-strawberry mixture.

Mix everything and add sugar to taste. Pour the lemonade with sparkling water and put it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

After a specified period of time, filter it through a sieve. Pour into a large decanter or serving glasses. We decorate them with a sprig of mint and a strawberry berry or a slice of lemon and serve them to the table.

The created drink is stored for about a day in the refrigerator, but, as usual, it does not live up to this time, since everyone wants to taste it by pouring it into glasses and equipping them with cocktail tubes. And it is perfectly preserved chilled in a thermos — if you decide to take a drink with you on a trip or on a picnic.
