On June 22, 2010, tennis players John Isner and Nicolas Mayu started the first round match of the Wimbledon tournament. After four sets were played with the score 2:2, the meeting was suspended due to the onset of darkness. This is, in principle, quite a common practice. But for the match to be played in three days, the guys became pioneers in this.

The fact is that at Grand Slam tournaments, the decisive fifth set does not end with a tie-break, but is conducted up to a two-point advantage in games and theoretically can last indefinitely. The world record for the duration of a tennis match was set three and a half hours before the poor guys went to rest again, winning 59 games of the fifth set. Without feelings or a real feeling?

In the world-famous city of Pattaya, four years ago, a local security officer Ekkahai Tiranarat kissed his wife Laksana for 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds. Such accuracy of measurements is due to the fact that this act was not too intimate: it took place as part of a competition to set a world record. As a result, the lovers surpassed the previous achievement by more than eight hours.

During the competition, the participants of this theater of the absurd had no right to be interrupted for a second. They had to drink and eat through a straw. American Walter Pinish Sr. from Oklahoma has worked as a fitness trainer for most of his life and has never been listed as a professional athlete. That did not prevent him from swimming the distance from the Cuban capital Havana to the town of Little Duck Key in Florida in July 1973. And this, by the way, is 207.3 kilometers. Walter sailed for 34 hours and 15 minutes. Journalists met him on the shore and treated him to hot tea. Walter told them he was tired.
