A newborn and not an ugly duckling at all

We invite you to see how a new life begins. No, not human - the life of a tiny cute duck named Lona. Clutched in an egg, Lona finally appeared in this world ... it seems to delight and cause enthusiastic "mimimi" from those around her. Well, isn't she cute?

1. Lona was the last newborn duckling to hatch thanks to the care and attention of volunteers at the marine animal shelter in Kerry, Ireland.

2. Having got out of such a small "womb", Lona looked a little, let's say, cramped. It seems that for the first few seconds, Lona did not understand where she was and what was happening at all.

3. This is what is called a sharp start.

4. However, after a day, Lona looked like this - fluffy, soft and quite healthy. Surrounded by beautiful lakes and marshes, orphaned, injured and starving seal pups are also rescued at this shelter, and geese, swans and ducks live here on a permanent basis.
