A man should be bald, the best job in the world is a lipstick tester

Obviously, in the 50s of the last century, a group of women, their lips and the lipstick itself were required to successfully test lipstick in the USA. And the most important component of the test is a happy man, whom these women kissed. Moreover, the test subject had to be bald, so that there was enough surface for testing for everyone.

These pictures were taken by LIFE magazine photographer Yale Joel, who at one time documented most of the significant moments of the mid-20th century. Joel has shot stars, from Marilyn Monroe to popular models.
