Lisa McLennan, 47, has been wearing a hair band on her wrist for as long as she can remember. It was practical and allowed you to quickly put your hair in order. But when faced with a serious problem, a woman wants as many women as possible to know about the danger of this seemingly harmless habit.

For 30 years of wearing a hair band on her arm, Lisa got so used to it that she felt uncomfortable when the accessory was not in place. She could not even imagine that the aching pains in her wrist that once started had something to do with this habit.

McLennan thought that the cause of the problem was a sprained ligament, received while carrying heavy shopping bags, until an outsider suggested the cause of the problem to her. Having once gone to a supermarket located near the house, the woman got into conversation with the cashier, who was bored because of the lack of customers.

By chance, Lisa told a new friend about the pain in her arm and complained that she could not determine the cause of the problem. In response, a supermarket worker immediately pointed out to her a hair band and advised her to get rid of it immediately.

On the same day, McLennan came to see a doctor, who, after examining her hand, reported that the wrist tendon was damaged due to chronic circulatory disorders. The brush had already started to go numb due to nerve inflammation and the doctors informed the patient that in a week she could irretrievably lose the sensitivity of this part of the body.

As it turned out, the problems of such a plan are so serious that even modern medicine is unable to restore the functionality of the wrist. Thus, Lisa was separated from disability for only a few days with a hair band on her arm.

Now the woman is forced to wear an elastic bandage on her arm until the tendon and nerve are restored. She is very grateful to a random interlocutor from the supermarket, who drew her attention to the problem and prompted her to get rid of the gum and go to the doctors. McLennan refused to use elastic bands for her hair at all and uses a crab clip that cannot be put on her hand.
