It is well known that reality can be more terrible and uglier than the most sophisticated fiction. This is why directors love to use real-life incidents in films. This happened with the black comedy “Blind Man’s Bluff”, in which there is an episode that happened in reality.

In Alexei Balabanov’s film “Zhmurki” there is an episode in which Sergei Mikhailovich, played by Nikita Mikhalkov, burns the corpse of an architect in the fireplace. Most likely, the author of the picture knew of a terrible case when this was exactly how a Moscow crime boss got rid of a body after a murder.

In the spring of 1995, in the luxurious apartment of Mansur (Sergey Mamsurov), located in Moscow at st. Petrovka, 19, was undergoing major renovations. The owner of the apartment did not waste time on trifles and did everything to the highest standard, since his criminal business allowed him to bear any costs.

A team of qualified builders was hired for the redevelopment and interior finishing work, and they were led by architect Alexey Galanin. The fact that a person of such a serious profession was engaged in repairs was not surprising - in the 90s, everyone survived as best they could, and at elite facilities you could even meet a professor with a spatula and a hammer drill.

Mamsurov was a very demanding customer and did not stand on ceremony with the performers of the work, not skimping on threats and insults. The behavior of the “master of life” was further aggravated by the fact that he did not disdain alcohol and drugs, often appearing at the site in an inadequate state.

During one of these visits, the work contractor Galanin had the imprudence to object to the aggressive bandit, and a verbal altercation arose between the contractor and the customer. Mamsurov could not allow anyone to object to him, and even in the presence of his “sixes,” so during a conversation in a raised voice, he pulled out a pistol and shot the poor architect in the stomach and chest.

Of course, the criminal had a problem getting rid of the body. It was solved without leaving the premises - the authority dismembered the corpse of the unfortunate specialist with his own hands, and his bodyguards burned the body parts in the living room fireplace. The crime became known a few months later, but Mansur did not have to answer for this crime, as well as for many others.

Less than a month after Galanin’s murder, Sergei Mansurov’s apartment was blocked by a seizure group. The criminal, who was in his usual state of drug intoxication, took his partner hostage and put up brutal resistance. As a result, a shootout ensued, during which Mamsur was killed. Unfortunately, the criminal’s hostage, whom he managed to shoot just seconds before his death, also died.

His bodyguards, who were only involved in the case as accomplices, did not have to answer for the murder. Considering their bloody adventures, the episode with the burning of the body in the fireplace during the sentencing did not make any special difference - they all received substantial prison sentences, and some received life sentences.
