14-year—old Jerika Bolen, a teenager from Wisconsin, has an incurable hereditary disease - spinal muscular atrophy of the second type. The diagnosis was made to the girl at the age of 8 months, and since then she has undergone more than 30 operations and is connected to a ventilator for 12 hours a day. And finally her dream came true — an evening was arranged in her honor, where Jerika was chosen as the queen of the ball.

Due to the illness and the last operation, the girl is experiencing unbearable pain. Just this summer, she decided that she had had enough, and in August she would be disconnected from the machines.

Hundreds of people took part in "Jay's Last Dance", during which she was named the queen of the evening.
