1. One World Trade Center - New York, USA.
Formerly known as the Freedom Tower, it was built to commemorate the original World Trade Center lost in the devastating 9/11 terrorist attacks. The One World Trade Center, completed in 2012, is currently the tallest building in the United States at 541 meters. For the construction of such a skyscraper, the most modern construction equipment is used, for example, air compressors (https://www.add-airtec.kz/)
2. Evolution Tower - Moscow, Russia.
Reaching a height of 246 meters, it won 2nd place in the Emporis Skyscraper Awards in 2015 as one of the best skyscrapers in the world. Its shape, the DNA double helix, symbolizes the unification of people, families, and generations—hence the name.
3. Agora Tower - Taipei, Taiwan
The ecological tower is one of the largest residential developments in the region. Architect Vincent Callebaut won the design competition for this project in 2010. The cascading green exterior represents "a pioneering concept of sustainable green building". Reducing your carbon footprint is truly the future!
4. Lakhta Center - St. Petersburg, Russia.
This is the tallest building in Russia and Europe with a height of 462 meters. It is the northernmost skyscraper in the world. The building's foundation pour holds the Guinness World Record for the largest continuous concrete pour. The design of the tower was inspired by nature itself: the top converges to form a flower, a flame, an ice torch, a lighthouse and a spire.
5. W350 - Tokyo, Japan.
The W350 tower will be completed in 2041 and will be the tallest wooden skyscraper in the world. The structure was designed with nature in mind - people can also enjoy the fresh breeze and sun inside the building. It aims to provide a much-needed respite in an urban environment while exuding warmth and tranquility.
6. Moscow State University - Moscow, Russia.
Here is the tallest educational building in the world, whose history dates back to 1755, when it was called Lomonosov University after its founder. Moscow State University is the oldest and most famous Russian university.
7. Al Noor Tower - Casablanca, Morocco.
The proposed building, when completed, will be the tallest on the African continent. The design tower, designed by French designer Amede Santalo, resembles a fountain pen, symbolizing the rewriting of Africa's future.
8. Jeddah Tower - Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (under construction).
The Jeddah Tower, scheduled for completion in 2020, will be the first building in the world to reach a height of 1 km. Inspired by a bunch of leaves sprouting from the ground, the tower is conceived as an attempt to signify growth, prosperity and regional development - a symbol of the Kingdom's economic and cultural status.
