Beauty is a terrible force. And many girls know it perfectly. It is a pity that at one time this power did not help beauty queens to protect themselves from tragedies. American Irene Garza was a schoolteacher, and in 1958 she won the Miss South Texas beauty contest. And although the girl decided to devote her further life to teaching, her story ended sadly, like many other "queens".

In 1960, Irene was last seen alive - at confession in a church. When the daughter did not return home, the parents sounded the alarm. The search for the girl was delayed. Finally, the volunteers managed to find... her body. Irene's corpse was dumped into an irrigation canal.

As you might have guessed, the killer of the beauty was Father John Bernard Faith, the very priest to whom she came. The investigation of the case lasted for decades, because the prosecutor considered the evidence against Faith too weak. The man was sentenced only in 2017 to life imprisonment. He passed away in 2020.

Polish beauty Agnieszka Kotlyarska died at the hands of a mad fan. A guy named Jerzy began stalking the girl shortly after she won the Miss International beauty contest in 1991. By the way, she became the first Polish woman to win this competition.

For a long time, the man showed signs of attention, confessed his love to Agnieszka and was her most loyal fan. But when the girl got married, Jerzy went crazy. The guy said that the beauty broke his life.

Wanting revenge, he stabbed the girl, and seriously wounded her husband. Kotlyarskaya died on August 27, 1996. The criminal was arrested and sentenced to 14 years in prison. At the time of her death, Agnieszka had a two-year-old daughter.

Alexandra Petrova is the winner of the Miss Russia 1996 contest. After participating in the show, which was broadcast on television, success quickly came to the girl. She had a lot of fans, among whom was the criminal authority Konstantin Chuvilin.

On September 16, 2000, an attempt was made on Konstantin Chuvilin and his friend. Unfortunately, Alexandra was with them at the time. The girl was shot in the head. She did not live two days before her 20th birthday.

Konstantin Chuvilin was also killed. According to the investigation, the killer shot at him, but the bullet ricocheted and hit the girl. The relatives of Konstantin and Alexandra decided to bury them next to each other. On the tombstone, the girl is depicted with a ribbon "Miss Russia" and a crown on her head.

Indian beauty Nafisa Joseph became the youngest participant of the national beauty contest. After she won it, the girl began to receive offers from modeling agencies, film studios and producers from the world of show business.

Nafisa tried herself as an actress and TV presenter. Who knows, perhaps a bright future awaited her, but the girl's life ended too soon.

In 2004, Nafisa committed suicide after learning that her lover had been cheating on her for a long time. The girl was 26 years old. Two years later, Nafisa's best friend, actress and fashion model Kuljit Randhava also committed suicide.

Pretty Jessica Notaro won the contest "Miss Romagna- 2007". At first, the girl's life was going great: new contracts, popularity, cooperation with well-known brands… Even on the personal front, things started to get better – Jessica had a boyfriend.

But over time, the relationship began to crumble. The young man turned out to be jealous and very aggressive. Jessica has repeatedly complained to the police.

When the beauty decided to end the relationship, the boyfriend went crazy. On January 10, 2017, he ambushed the girl and doused her with sulfuric acid.

For several days, Jessica was in intensive care in an extremely serious condition. Only by a miracle the doctors managed to save her eyesight, although she lost one eye. After that, there was a long period of rehabilitation and dozens of plastic surgeries. Now Jessica looks and feels much better. Nevertheless, her fate is not to be envied.
