Best of all, the bears painted with acrylic paint look from above - like very large marmalade candies on the waterfront.
Dutch artist Leon Keer spent three days creating these images. The area of each bear is approximately two square meters. The drawings were then photographed from the roof of a nearby building. He says that it was very hot in Malta and the paint dried too quickly.
“The dead bear is a metaphor for the lost joy and innocence of childhood,” says Keer. One of the passers-by told the artist that he would probably have to draw the bears again the next day because he planned to eat them.
