Roman Polanski's creepy comedy tells about Professor Abronzius (performed by the director himself) and his inexperienced assistant Alfred. The couple went to Transylvania to hunt vampires. There they stumble upon Count von Krolock, who kidnapped the red—haired beauty Sarah (Sharon Tate, by the way, is Polanski's future wife). The professor and his assistant will not only save the girl, but also rid the whole village of the monster.

Wesley Snipes plays a half-breed vampire hunter endowed with superhuman strength in the first, by the way, successful Marvel Entertainment film. His sworn enemy is the narcissistic and evil Deacon Frost, who dreams of destroying humanity and seizing power in the world.

Korean director Park Chang-wook made a horror film inspired by Emile Zola's novel "Teresa Raken" and interpreted it in the most unexpected way. The film tells about a Catholic priest who took part in the trial of an experimental vaccine against a deadly disease and became a vampire. But the obsession with blood fades into the background for him when he meets the beautiful wife of his childhood friend.

Katherine Bigelow ("On the Crest of a Wave") made a film about a young man involved in the company of modern vampires driving around the western United States in an old van. They spend their days in motels and go out hunting at night.
