Although these iridescent cityscapes are not so easy to find. “I rummaged through the whole city in search of these bright pearls,” says the photographer, “And this is not an easy task, because most of the new areas look pretty dull. The search for bright objects in the general gray mass resembles a treasure hunt. I wanted to capture a different, less well-known Istanbul to complement the one-sided perception of this city as solely the "heir" of the Ottoman Empire. I started looking for bright colors, lines that formed into regular geometric patterns. I am sure that such diversity helps to get to know the city better not only for me, but also for others. Even the old-timers of Istanbul don't believe these photos were taken in their hometown."
