Istanbul Photo Awards is an international competition for photojournalists organized by Anadolu Agency. The prize is awarded to brave and talented applicants from all over the world.
The contest was held in six categories: news story, sports story, story from everyday life, and others. The jury considered photos of the events that determined the world agenda in 2020. The winner of the Photo of the Year category received $ 6,000, while the other finalists received between $ 1,000 and $ 3,000.
A photo of Mohammed Shajahan titled "Mama's Love", selected from almost 15 thousand photos sent from different parts of the world, won the "Photo of the Year 2021" award.
