By Vika https://pictolic.com/article/10-tips-to-help-you-keep-your-house-perfectly-clean.htmlWe like to buy ourselves different things and surround ourselves with objects that accumulate over the years and limit the free space in our small apartments. Over time, keeping a house clean becomes more and more difficult. We decided to share with you a revolutionary cleaning method, which was invented by 30-year-old Japanese woman Marie Kondo, who has been obsessed with cleanliness since childhood. She wrote The Magic of Cleaning, which has sold 3 million copies and became a New York Times bestseller this year. Some advice may seem a little eccentric and even crazy to you, however, people all over the world thank Marie for her book, which helped them to put things in order not only in their homes but also in their lives. So, let's begin.

1. You need to clean an apartment not by rooms, but by categories of things. That is, you need to start cleaning with clothes, then move on to books, then to documents, and finally to souvenirs and memorabilia. In that order, because starting with sentimental things, it's easy to give in and back down. (Photo: Emma Story / Flickr.com).
2. Forget about all the previously known methods of cleaning a la gradually and in parts. We clean only once in a lifetime. Then we just put things in their place. Cleaning is like a revolution, you need a shock for the full effect. After cleaning the apartment according to the Marie Kondo method, you will feel freedom. Photo: Marie Kondo. (Photo: nytimes.com).
3. Clothes: Gather all the clothes in one place and throw away those that have not been worn in years and those that you don't like. If you find it difficult to get rid of a thing because, for example, pleasant memories are associated with it, mentally (you can also out loud) thank her for the joy she brought you. Then it will be easier for you to “let go”. Just do not try to "repurpose" things, thinking that a great pair of pajamas will come out of a leaky T-shirt. (Photo: kaitlinshawn / Instagram.com).
4. Get rid of all the things you don't like. Marie Kondo believes that cleaning should start with things. Take each of them in your hands (be it a blouse or a book) and feel if it makes you happy, if not, you can safely throw it away. Leave only those items that make you feel good. And your favorite thing can serve as a barometer of feelings. (Photo: edenlighthipe / Instagram.com).
5. Controversial advice from Marie, but it might be worth trying. Talk to things (just do not forget to warn your household members about this so that they do not think that something is wrong with your head) and thank them for serving you so well. Marie believes that things need to be treated with respect, so she advises not to throw them in the closet at random, but to fold them neatly so that they “rest” and serve you longer. 6. Marie advises keeping things upright so that by opening the drawer, you can see everything at once. Then you will not forget about those that lie at the bottom, you will not have to take everything out to find something, and it’s easier to keep order. (Photo: TODAY).
7. Make room for new things in your life by getting rid of old ones. By getting rid of all that is superfluous in your home, you do not need new cabinets, shelves, boxes, and other storage items that take away your already small free space. After all, a new wardrobe will not bring order to your apartment. Store items in small containers, this includes items from the bathroom and kitchen. (Photo: LuckyMaya / Instagram.com).
8. We put things in order in the books. If you have not read some book, then you do not need it - throw it away (Fullpicci advice - give it to the library). (Photo: stacywalkermyers / Instagram.com).
9. Get rid of unnecessary papers on the desk and old documents. People like to keep old records from training, courses, etc., hoping that someday they will look into them, but they never do so. Leave only what you really need. Scanning documents can also help you free up your desk and make your life easier. (Photo: marijneline / Instagram.com).
10. The Mari Kondo method can be applied to other areas of life. For example, surrounding yourself with only those people who make you feel positive. And "cleaning can be the beginning of a change in your life," says Professor of Psychiatry Drew Ramsey from the University of Columbia. (Photo: booksforbetterliving.com).
When asked what he thought of Marie's method, he replied, "You have to start with something small, as often the decision to tidy up the closet gives people the incentive they need." And he added, "When people are organized and tidy, they feel stronger."
