10 films that are loved here and disliked in the West

Cinema is a specific thing. One and the same movie can be liked by one group of people and cause rejection by another. Today I would like to recall a few films whose ratings in our country hint that the cinema is excellent, and indicators abroad indicate that the cinema is mediocre.

This happens quite often. But if pictures like "Commando" or "Overboard" do not have such a significant difference in ratings and they are treated well in the West, then some "Struggling" has a huge gap in ratings.

A failed film directed by Menachem Golan, for which Stallone received a nomination for the Golden Raspberry. Sly himself believes that "Struggling" is one of his three worst films in his career.

The domestic viewer does not agree with Stallone and on the KinoPoisk website the picture has very good indicators of 7.2 points out of 10. The largest American resource IMDB gives "Struggling" mediocre 5.8 points out of 10. Critics have even scarier numbers - 4.3 out of 10.

A failed film directed by Paul Verhoeven about the underside of the Las Vegas entertainment industry. At the time of its release, the tape was simply destroyed in the West and recognized as almost the worst film in the history of cinema.

Our viewer did not know about all this scandal, so he gave "Showgirls" a very good rating of 7.0 out of 10. Western moviegoers drowned the picture in mediocre figures. On IMDB, the Showgirls score is only 4.8 out of 10. Critics believe that Paul Verhoeven took 3.3 out of 10 at all.

Another classic action movie of the VHS era, which is appreciated by our moviegoers and is absolutely not considered something remarkable by foreign ones. The picture directed by John Badham was shown on big screens in 1990 and collected an excellent 140 million dollars in cinemas with a budget of 20.

On the KinoPoisk website, "Bird on the Wire" has 7.3 out of 10. IMDB believes that the picture is worthy of 5.9 out of 10. Critics claim that the movie with Mel Gibson is a terrible garbage worthy of 4.4 out of 10.

The same movie in which Steven Seagal is killed at the very beginning of the film, and he goes into a coma for seven years, after which the rested punishes everyone who comes under his arm. In American cinemas, the film collected almost 50 million with a budget of 10.

KinoPoisk believes that Seagal was lying in a coma perfectly and is quite worthy of a rating of 7.0 out of 10. IMDB disagrees and claims that the tape is mediocre and the maximum that it shines is 5.8 out of 10. Critics gave "Death in spite of" only 3.7 out of 10.

The banter tape with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the title role did not find a response from foreign film lovers. She is not considered mediocre at all, but still the difference in the ratings of the audience is too big.

Domestic citizens love the movie with Schwarzenegger and gave him 7.4 out of 10. IMDB gave 6.4 out of 10. Critics gave the picture only 4.9 out of 10.

Our audience liked Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson trying to save their old friend's bar. But in America, the tape received modest ratings and failed miserably in cinemas.

KinoPoisk gave "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Cowboy" an excellent 7.7 points out of 10. The largest foreign resource somehow collected an estimate of 6.2 out of 10. American critics destroyed the tape altogether. The average score from these citizens is around 3.7 out of 10.

The cult action movie with Sylvester Stallone is not considered so wonderful in our country, but still domestic moviegoers wrote him a very decent 7.0 out of 10. IMDB insists on 5.8 out of 10. Critics also believe that "Cobra" is not a movie and gave Sly only 2.9 out of 10.

An action film directed by Philip Noyce with Rutger Hauer in the title role. In our country, a blind veteran of the Vietnam War who knows how to wield a sword is popular and receives a decent 7.4 out of 10. The American viewer was not enthusiastic and prescribed "Blind Rage" only 6.4 out of 10. Critics have 4.5 out of 10.

Another terribly popular fantasy action movie in the vastness of our country. Cinema is considered by many citizens to be one of the best works of actor Jean Claude Van Damme. KinoPoisk gives the "Universal Soldier" 7.0 out of 10. IMDB settled on a rating of 5.9 out of 10. Critics lowered Van Damme to 4.3 out of 10.

Kevin Costner's post-apocalyptic action movie, after the failure of which the actor's career stalled, and a little later it went down sharply at all.

The Russian cinema lover believes that "Water World" is excellent fiction and gives it 7.6 out of 10. The American viewer claims that "Water World" is a passer. The film's rating on IMDB is only 6.2 out of 10. Critics gave Kostner 5.2 out of 10.

However, the VHS era did not always add extra points to films from us. There are situations and the opposite. When a well-known and beloved film in our country still has lower indicators than in the West. For example, the "Big Commotion in little China" or the first "Rambo" estimates on foreign resources are still slightly higher than ours. Let the grades themselves be excellent in both cases.
