Oxidative stress disrupts the protective properties of cells and can lead to the development of diseases such as diabetes, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, stroke and cancer. This stress is also one of the components of the aging process. According to the researchers, 4 cups of green tea a day can reduce the intensity of oxidative stress by 2 times, thereby slowing down the aging of our body.
5. Cocoa for a healthy heart.
Cocoa is a real storehouse of flavonoids that keep blood vessels young, while reducing the risk of hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetes, kidney disease and memory problems. Flavonoids also have anti-carcinogenic properties. The proof of such a useful effect of cocoa on the human body was the Indian tribe of Kuna from Panama. Men from this tribe drank 40 cups of cocoa a day, which, according to research, is the main reason for their good health and longevity.
