This small piece of rock is located in a crevice at the edge of a mountain in Norway. Without any climbing equipment, those brave enough can climb up to this rock, called Kjeragbolten, and stand on it. Would you be brave enough to stand at an altitude of more than a mile?
The name of this stone translates as "Kjerag's castle". The 5 cubic meter piece of rock is located in a crevice at the edge of Mount Kjerag in Lysefjord, Norway.
Mount Kjerag is 1,084 metres high and towers over the other mountains of Lysefjord, offering the most spectacular views of the fjord. The plateau of Mount Kjerag is a favourite place for hikers, rock climbers and BASE jumpers. Without any climbing equipment, those brave enough can reach Kjeragbolten and stand on it. They say it brings good luck. However, in order for the stone to bring good luck, you need to stand firmly on your feet: the next shelf on the sheer wall is 241 meters below. And below it there are another 735 meters of free fall. So, are you one of those brave and crazy people who are ready to stand on Kjeragbolten? The photos are real, no photoshop. If you are afraid of heights, look no further.
