With all the amenities: an American woman converted the toilet into a home office
Like many during the coronavirus pandemic, the New Yorker was forced to work from home. She could not shut out her husband and children, so she decided to find a secluded place where there would be an opportunity to be in silence. Since there is no extra room in the apartment, the American decided to equip the home office in the toilet. Find out how she works in the new "office", from our material.
44-year-old Niamh Sproul (Niamh Sproul) converted the toilet into a home office. And although some of her colleagues find such working conditions disgusting, the woman likes her new workplace.
An American woman works as the head of human resources at a financial firm. She used to sit at the computer in the bedroom next to her husband. Neve soon realized that it couldn't go on like this, because each of them had to answer the phone. It was impossible to be in the same room and conduct business conversations without interfering with each other. The woman could not occupy the living room, because there the school children were engaged in distance learning.
The apartment has two bathrooms – one large, which the family uses for its intended purpose, and the second, where there is only a toilet and a washbasin, has turned into a warehouse for storing things. It was her Niv and decided to convert it into a mini-office. It took the hostess only an hour to rearrange it. She installed a board over the toilet, using it as a table, and the toilet seat perfectly replaced the chair.
The American woman transformed the situation in the toilet, giving it the appearance of a study. The woman decorated the room with vases, shelves with books, candles and framed photographs.
Colleagues noticed changes in the environment during work video calls. When they found out where Neve had set up her home office, they were surprised. Some of them think that working in such conditions is disgusting, but the woman claims that she feels very comfortable here. Since the toilet is not used for its intended purpose, there are no unpleasant odors here. The only drawback is the lack of natural light.
The American woman continues to work in her "office", despite the fact that the children have already started going to school in a normal mode. She says that she is comfortable here, and is not going to return from a cozy place to the living room.
Neve is not the only one who has found more opportunities in the toilet room than using it for its intended purpose. The London architect also considered the potential in a public toilet and turned it into a nice housing.
