1. MOSCOW, BASIL'S CHURCH

One of the main attractions of the country is especially appreciated for its bizarre, dissimilar onion cupolas, which, as it turned out, resemble colorful cakes from a bird's eye view.

2. UAE. DUBAI DUBAI MARINA

Dubai is called the "city of the future" - for fantastic buildings. Nowhere on the planet is there such a large number of modern, and sometimes ahead of time, architectural structures. Dubai Marina is still unfinished, but when completed, it should take the place of the largest man-made marina. On the coast there will be 200 skyscrapers, each with a height of more than 300 meters.

3. NEW YORK, CENTRAL PARK

This is the only green island in the stone jungle of Manhattan. And like the jungle itself, the park, 4 kilometers long and 0.8 kilometers wide, is a creation of human hands. Hence such a clear rectangular shape. The architects provided for several artificial lakes, two ice rinks and a zoo. And along the perimeter there is a 10-kilometer road that is popular with joggers, cyclists and roller skaters.

4. ST. PETERSBURG, PETERGOF

The country residence of Peter I is compared with the French Versailles. That was the king's intention. The main principle that the architects followed was symmetry. The park layout is based on two systems of radial alleys intersecting with each other. The central axis is the Grand Cascade and the Sea Canal. Fountains "Adam" and "Eve", cascades "Chessboard Mountain", "Golden Mountain" are at an equal distance from the axis.

6. ITALY. ROME, COLOSSEUM

According to the idea of Emperor Vespasian, the Colosseum was supposed to amaze with its beauty and size. Both succeeded. Round at first glance, the Colosseum is actually built in the shape of an ellipse. The length of the outer ellipse is 524 meters, the length of the major axis is 189, the minor is 156, and the height is 48 meters, which is comparable to the height of a 15-storey building. The destruction of the Colosseum began after 1349, when a powerful earthquake struck Rome. Part of the outer ellipse was broken, so the modern Colosseum, from a bird's eye view, looks more like a snail shell than an oval.

PROJECT: Experience flights

Non-commercial project AirPano creates 3D virtual tours "Around the World". High-resolution panoramas are filmed from a bird's eye view using helicopters, hot air balloons and hexacopters (radio-controlled models of helicopters). More than two hundred points of the planet have already been photographed, including large-scale surveys on the territory of Russia with the support of the Russian Geographical Society.
