Underwater extravaganza of diver and photographer Jason Washington
Photographer and diver Jason Washington lives and works in the Cayman Islands. This corner of the Caribbean is considered a real Mecca for lovers and professionals of scuba diving. It is easy and pleasant to work here – the photographer can enjoy the beach season all year round, the turquoise sea and incredibly colorful underwater landscapes with corals, bright marine life and mysterious shipwrecks.
In underwater photography, Washington has reached great heights – he is rightfully considered one of the best masters of this genre. Jason's underwater photographs of colorful coral fish, sea turtles, and fantastic stingrays are breathtaking and will impress even seasoned local swimmers.
But most of all, the photographer is attracted to freedivers-divers who dive to a depth without special equipment, at best in a mask and fins. These swimmers are not constrained by bulky balloons and other equipment, so they float freely in the thick sea water, inspiring the artist to create incredible shots.
The photographer is sure that an environment where there is no concept of top and bottom, and light has completely different properties – an ideal place for shooting dance and gymnastic sketches. Therefore, many of Jason's models are like dancers of an underwater ballet, in which, in addition to them, amazing sea creatures participate.

The master is willing to share his best shots with Internet users, posting them on his Instagram account. Now Washington's work is followed by more than 70 thousand subscribers, whose delight, according to the photographer, evaluates his work better than any international awards.
The French Alex Voyer and Alex Roubeau also work in this genre. However, these guys live in Paris, and to make another series of fantastic pictures, they sometimes have to fly halfway around the world. But it is always worth the effort, time and money!
