The world of bodybuilders
Belgian photographer Kurt Stallaert is known for his unusual and provocative projects. One of his most talked about projects is Bodybuilders' World, in which he creates an alternative reality where people of all ages and professions have the physique of professional bodybuilders. In this series of photographs, Stallert digitally superimposes muscular bodies onto ordinary people, including children and the elderly. These images are placed in everyday situations: school classes, family dinners, walks in the park.
This combination of familiar scenes and unusual appearance of the characters creates a surreal effect and makes one think about the perception of physical beauty and the norm in society.
The author himself notes that all the photos were ordinary, and he added the muscles using Photoshop. The result was so impressive that even he himself is a little scared.
