The teddy bear was released for the first time
On Thursday (April 24), a polar bear cub was shown to the public at the Leningrad Zoo. His first exit from the den was awaited not only by ordinary visitors, but also by dozens of television cameras, photographers and journalists, thanks to which he had already become a celebrity. The kid did not immediately dare to plunge into the pool, but after a few minutes he was already splashing in the cold water, ignoring the numerous paparazzi. He was born on December 6 and all this time he lived with his mother in a den. Employees watched him with a special infrared video camera. He does not have a name yet, since the gender has not yet been determined.
The Leningrad Zoological Park of St. Petersburg, founded on August 2, 1865, is one of the oldest zoos in Russia and one of the northernmost zoos in the world.
