When Dalton Ross went to study abroad at London's Belmont University, he knew his family would miss him. Then he decided to send his mom Susan Talley a full-length photo of himself. Dalton thought his family would laugh, joke, and then put the photo in the corner of the living room and forget about it.
But his mom, it turned out, had other plans. She decided to take her son's photo with her everywhere, to all family events, sports games and holidays. And I sent the photos to my son in the UK so that he would know that he was always with them, despite the huge distance separating them.
