The photographer removed the phones from the pictures to show how far we are from each other

In the modern world, electronic gadgets take away more of our communication with loved ones than they give it. Eric Pickersgill, a photographer from New York, became seriously interested in this problem. Once in a cafe, he witnessed a family scene: his father and two daughters were sitting at the table, buried in their phones, while his mother looked sad and lonely out the window. After that, Eric decided to raise the problem of what he saw and created a photo project called Removed. He photographed people in everyday life, but at the same time "took away" all their electronics.
