Over the years, the very definition of beauty has changed significantly. Modern pop culture constantly imposes on us the fact that a person's beauty is determined primarily by physical data, and not by virtues — for example, compassion, kindness or generosity.

Unfortunately, our modern image of beauty is determined by the number of filters we use when processing selfies. But does narcissism really make us beautiful?

100 years ago, the concept of beauty did not consist only of appearance or how many times you showed your cleavage. It was determined by other components: how a girl behaves in society, how graceful she is, how she speaks - even her gait and attitude to people were important. 

Maybe we should be grateful that today the world is more open about how we express ourselves. But looking at the photos, one cannot but admit that these girls on the postcards of the 1900s-1910s are not just beautiful in appearance — they have grace, good manners and become.
