On December 4, the Fashion Awards 2017 were presented at the Albert Hall Concert Hall in London. The model of the year was 25-year-old British feminist and fighter for the rights of people with mental illnesses, Adwoa Aboah.
Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia Gerber (pictured), sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid and the star of the show "American Top Model" Winnie Harlow with vitiligo disease were also nominated for the award. Calvin Klein creative director Raf Simons was recognized as the designer of the year, and Donatella Versace was recognized as a fashion icon.

Aboa has worked with brands Calvin Klein, Fendi, DKNY, Alexander Wang, H&M, Versace, Topshop and Kenzo.
She is known for creating an organization for young women Gurls Talk and honestly criticizes the stereotypes of the modeling business.
In 2017, the model starred in the Hollywood remake of the Japanese film "Ghost in the Shell".
It is known that she suffered from depression and drug addiction, but no longer uses drugs.
