The mistress of the most organized house in America shares the secrets of maintaining order
The hostess of the house with the most perfect order in the USA is returning, and this time she offered her advice to help other people put things in order once and for all. Specialist in restoring order from In Washington, Alejandra Costello took a video tour of her obscenely ordered house, in which she tells how everything, from tea bags to plastic containers for food, lies in its place.
She starts with a "box with all sorts of things", in which there is a turquoise organizer. Then he shows the kitchen cabinets, where you can find spinning pallets with round jars of medicines, spices and seasonings.
Boxes for small things are another of her favorite tools to help organize storage. In the kitchen there is such a box with batteries, which are sorted by size and marked with a marker. The woman also has a drawer filled with tea, dividers help to store tea bags in square compartments.
Demonstrating deep kitchen drawers, Alejandra admits to her commitment to dividers, which, according to her, help to avoid things lying around randomly. In the kitchen and throughout the house, Alejandra installed various containers for collecting waste for recycling, including for dead batteries, expired medicines and other types of garbage.
In the office, which is in the house of almost every typical American, Alejandra's workspace is arranged in such a way that accurately reflects the essence of her activities. "I wanted to have a minimum of distracting things on my desk to stay focused," the woman explains, pointing to a clean table. She has tasks hanging above her desk, which are grouped by projects, marked accordingly and are in folders in wall cells.
Alejandra also has a separate room for stationery and creative materials, where folders, notebooks and other things are neatly laid out. Here she uses round baking trays to store things of the same type together. For writing materials, the American uses ice cream containers, sorting them into categories and placing them along the wall in the closet.
In the large wardrobe where Alejandra and her husband's belongings are stored, she shows neatly labeled drawers in which different types of clothes are stored separately. She stores some things vertically to simplify the search, while others, such as pajamas, just lie on top of each other. Despite the fact that Alejandra has a lot of clothes, she still has quite a lot of free space in her wardrobe. She warns the viewers of the video that this is not a reason to buy even more things.
Scarves hang on a rod above the door. So you can use the free space, and at the same time the door opens freely. There is a homemade jewelry organizer hanging on the wall nearby, which stores necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.
The last stop at Alejandra's house is the bathroom. A woman tries to keep as few things on the sink as possible in order to wipe it every day.
She recommends attaching a metal sheet to the back of the mirror cabinet door in order to store the most commonly used little things, such as tweezers, with magnets. On the inside of the door, Alejandra has a printout with information that she needs to remember. So she often catches the hostess's eye.
Each drawer is equipped with dividers, including a drawer with decorative cosmetics, a drawer with intimate hygiene items and a drawer with pet care items.
