The mechanics of the Renaissance
Photographer Freddy Fabris (Fabris Freddy) from the USA always wanted to pay tribute to the masters of the Renaissance, but he could not match the theme of the images. This continued up until Freddy accidentally stumbled upon one of the service stations in the Midwest.
The result of this meeting was a brilliant series of portraits of mechanics, reproducing famous paintings of the Renaissance.
"The reincarnation of the paintings in the pictures was a challenge I'm looking forward to, says Fabrice. I wanted to be respectful to the appearance of the originals, but had to come up with a conceptual twist to create something new."
