Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a French photographer, photojournalist, Chevalier of the Legion of Honor and recipient of many other awards. He gained worldwide fame thanks to a series of photographs of various corners of the Earth taken from the air: the project "Earth from the Air" (1995). A book of the same name was published, including in Russian, in 2002. Arthus-Bertrand has published about 60 books with photographs taken from above.
