The journey of the canadian house of 1915 from Vancouver to Courtney
One canadian couple Ben and Jen Ford decided to buy a new home. After a long search they found a suitable building in Vancouver, British Columbia, and decided to buy it, and then transfer to his property, located on an island on the West coast of the country.
Unusual project was carried out on 23 July. At 10 am the building in 1915 moved to the wheels and drove to the port. There he was put on a barge and on the Fraser river, and then across the Strait of Georgia was taken to a new place. Cost of the eight-hour move in only 1500 canadian dollars, writes the Vancouver courier.
Like moving houses in Canada practiced in a long time. Specialized companies, such as purchase of old buildings, repair them and sell them, and then transportyou to new places.
