Today, on September 25, an Egyptian woman Iman Ahmed Abdulatti, who was considered the heaviest woman in the world, died in one of the hospitals in Abu Dhabi (UAE). In the winter of this year, it weighed about half a ton. Doctors performed many operations, as a result of which the weight was reduced by almost half. But in the summer, Abdulatti's condition deteriorated sharply.

In February, an Indian doctor, Muffazal Lakdawala, specializing in laparoscopic surgery, volunteered to help a 500-kilogram Egyptian woman. Abdulatti was taken to Mumbai on a charter plane and soon she underwent surgery to reduce her stomach and removed some of the fat. The patient's weight decreased by half.

We offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased," the hospital said in a statement.
