The Car that changed Everything
Now, when the hottest emotions from Spartak's first championship in 16 years have already subsided, there is an opportunity to take a breath and look back at this triumphant season. There was so much in it… And the most ingrained in my memory is not the derby with CSKA, not Glushakov's stunning goalie "Amkar" and not even the valid ending of the match with Orenburg, but the away game against Krasnodar. The red-whites then could not profit by three points, but the departure turned out to be simply excellent. Sparkling football at the best stadium in the country, amazing weather and almost three thousand kilometers of travel that flew in one breath. Even if Spartak had lost 0:3, the road home would have been easy, because we raced in a new Subaru Outback.

As you understand, on the way from Moscow to Krasnodar there is asphalt of very different quality. And taking into account the fact that winter had just ended, and it was not in our plans to plod along at the speed of a horse-drawn cart, we were morally ready to experience the full power of pits and potholes. However, Subaru did not allow the power of the spirit to manifest. The suspension turned all the gaping mouths of Russian roads into a light massage of the numb body.
Legends have been forming about the ability of a very high Outback to enter sharp turns with minimal roll for more than a dozen years, so we will not dwell on this aspect. Let's talk about overclocking. The technical documentation states that the car accelerates to hundreds in a modest 10.2 seconds, and there is no reason not to trust this information. However, when overclocking, the Outback does not give the impression of a heavyweight boxer who gathers strength for half an hour before hitting. And when this device is gaining cruising speed… The citizen who was riding with us in the back seat asked us to note separately in the review that he was fine. There is so much free space there that you can put a moderate-sized girl on your lap. Plus, in the latest Outback model, in addition to the armrest, there is a separate heated rear seats and the ability to adjust the angle of the backrest. So we smoothly approach the main thing: in what else does the 2015 version surpass the previous one? This question is by no means idle, since the fourth generation has frankly turned off the glorious beaten track. The design has been changed significantly. Outback seemed to have read several books by Dale Carnegie, enrolled in business courses and changed sneakers for patent leather shoes. This is no longer the commoner that the Audi A4 allroad and Volvo XC 70 passing by scoffed at. The window sill line has become more expressive, the rear arches have lost weight, the shape of the glazing has sharpened. The headlights squinted in a predatory grin. Although if we consider the whole "muzzle", then it does not cause fear. The radiator grille is somehow too peaceful.
I was pleased with the range of adjustments of the driver's seat. The position of the seat and steering wheel will be able to adjust for itself even a two-meter big guy with hands like a tyrannosaurus. The overview, by the way, has become much better due to the fact that the mirrors were moved to the doors, and additional glass sections were inserted in their former place. In terms of interior design, the Japanese have finally made a big step forward. The finishing materials look really expensive and organic. But the center console still does not pull on the premium segment. It is too similar to the tape recorder on which Ivan the Terrible listened to Vysotsky's songs in the famous film. However, the multimedia system itself with a touch screen works for five points, and this is much more important. ...Next autumn Spartak will have the Champions League. And by the will of the lot, we can go to some Munich along the ideal autobahn or to visit Dynamo Bucharest. In any case, the question of which car to move to European competitions is not worth it. Subaru Outback, like Spartak, is again what you need. Keywords: Subaru | Cars | Krasnodar | Moscow | Partner post | Travel | Spartak | Test drive | Football
