Strange tsunami cloud over Sydney

An amazing meteorological phenomenon could be observed in Australia last weekend. On Twitter, it was called a “tsunami cloud”: a massive wave in the sky several kilometers long covered Sydney, bringing with it thunderstorms, downpours and strong winds.
In fact, such clouds are called shelf clouds and they are formed from thunderstorm, concave clouds. Usually thunderstorms and storms begin with them. The strange shape of the cloud, similar to a wave, is explained by the meeting of descending cold air currents and ascending warm air currents.
The tsunami cloud made a lot of noise on social networks.
