1. Pure coincidence that Craven didn't know about:
Friedrich Wilhelm Krüger (cf. Frederick Charles Krüger) was an SA Obergruppenführer (Assault Troops) who trained youth squads for Hitler.
2. The original glove was also used in the second series, and then the glove disappeared. The same glove was also used in The Evil Dead 2 (1987).
3. Before Glen goes to bed, the TV channel announces its name: KRGR (KRGR). It's not hard to guess Freddie's last name.
4. To stay awake, Nancy watches the movie The Evil Dead. In fact, she only watches a commercial.
5. From the deleted scenes, we learn that Nancy and her friends were not the only children in the family, they had brothers and sisters, who were also killed by Krueger.
6. In one scene, Nancy looks in the mirror and says, "God, I look like I'm 20." It is noteworthy that the actress Heather Langikamp then really was 20 years old.
7. Guitarist Tony Iommi was asked to write the soundtrack for the film. He liked the idea and set about writing, but Tony's manager asked for too high a fee, as a result of which the deal did not go through. The composition Nightmare was included in the Eternal Idol album, without becoming an official soundtrack.
8. During the August putsch of 1991, slogans appeared on the streets of Moscow: “Nightmare! On Yazov Street!
9. Another famous Craven hit, the teen thriller Scream contains many references to A Nightmare on Elm Street.
For example, Craven himself starred as a school janitor named Fred, who wore the same hat and striped sweater as Krueger. Tatum Riley, the character of Rose McGowan, wears a T-shirt with the number 10 in one of the scenes, which was worn by Glen Lantz, the character of Johnny Depp. Joseph Whipp, who played Police Sergeant Parker, appeared in Scream as Sheriff Burke. Casey Becker (played by Drew Barrymore) in the film says that all the sequels to A Nightmare on Elm Street suck, because Wes Craven sold all the rights to the characters before the first part was released, and actually did not participate in the creation of sequels . The scene in which Billy climbs into Sydney's room is very similar to the scene in Nightmare when Glen sneaks into Nancy's room.
