Juan Paredes, one of the managers of the company said:
This fish is longer than three meters and weighs a third of a ton.
This tuna is largest ever caught in the waters of Spain.
The fish is now frozen and awaiting a buyer.
Juan Paredes said that the fish sold to a wholesale merchant in Alicante for 8,7 dollars per kilogram. Thus fishermen received for their production of about $ 3,000. However, they are a serious bargain.
